With the construction of urbanization, urban sewage treatment in China has developed rapidly, and the disposal technology of sludge is gradually improving with the promotion of policies. As the end stage of the operation of water and sewage plants, sludge storage and transportation is not only an important component of smart water, but also an indispensable part in the context of dual carbon. How to efficiently and intelligently store and transport is the direction and goal that many water companies actively pursue.

Current status of sludge storage and transportation
With the advancement of technology, most water and sewage plants have become fully automated, but manual intervention is still required in the end storage and transportation process. The sludge transportation process at the end has certain limitations in terms of land occupation, floor height, distance, and operating environment, resulting in many problems such as sludge landing, odor overflow, multi-level transportation, high failure rate, and height limitation in traditional sludge storage and transportation methods. These issues directly affect the overall intelligent operation of water plants and sewage treatment plants, as well as the implementation of the "unmanned water plant" process.

Intelligent sludge storage and transportation system
With years of innovative technology and industry experience in the field of sludge treatment, TeChase, combined with the limitations and problems in the sludge storage and transportation process, has jointly developed and launched an intelligent sludge storage and transportation system with Shanghai Water Industry Design Engineering Co., Ltd. It can be connected to the end sludge storage and transportation links of water plants and sewage plants. The end sludge is transported and disposed of through an automated, intelligent, and fully enclosed and controllable system, achieving sludge from receiving to receiving A series of intelligent operations such as discharge, storage, and transportation, achieving a "smart water plant" with no human intervention at the end.

The intelligent storage and transportation system consists of three systems, namely adaptive intelligent material receiving system, intelligent navigation scheduling system, and fully automatic intelligent data system. It has a wide range of applicability and can seamlessly connect with various sludge dewatering equipment such as screw stacking machines, centrifugal dehydrators, belt dryers, presses, and drying machines. It is suitable for the storage and transportation of sludge with various moisture contents.

The application of intelligent storage and transportation systems has solved five major problems in the process of sludge storage and transportation:

1. Solved the problem of multi-level conveying
Without the need for multi-level conveying equipment, it is directly connected to the dehydration equipment, with low operation and maintenance costs. The operating power is only 1/5 of that of traditional storage and transportation processes, saving over 80% of energy consumption.
2. Solved the problem of high failure rate
Compared with traditional cylindrical or conical warehouses, they have low depth, large pressure bearing area, and come with a self leveling system without the need for manual assistance, greatly reducing the failure rate and labor intensity.
3. Solved the problems of manual mud tamping and odor overflow
Intelligent material receiving, mixing, and transportation during operation, without the need for manual mud compaction, leakage, odor, or leachate overflow, the entire process is sealed and controllable.
4. Solved the problem of high spatial limitations
High limit scenarios such as groundwater plants, sewage plants, and scenic water plants have significant application advantages, saving civil engineering costs, and saving over 60% of height space.
5. Improved intelligent management level
The entire process of sludge storage and transportation involves zero manual labor, zero waiting for incoming vehicles to transport sludge, full automation, no overflow of sludge, and intelligence. It can be easily connected to conventional communication protocols and can be connected to smart cities and smart water management platforms.
